Galerie AdK, 25 jaar actuele kunst

Maart 1998 startte Galerie AdK. Twee jaar later, in april 2000 verhuisden we naar de Prinsengracht, in het centrum van de stad op loopafstand van het museum­kwartier.

De galerie vindt zijn basis in de samenwerking met de kunstenaars, en kan daarom de ontwikkelingen in het werk van de kunstenaars volgen en tonen. Die kwaliteit en concentratie is het uitgangspunt. Uniek is niet alleen deze vorm van samenwerking met de kunstenaars maar ook met de bezoekers en de klanten. Herkenning in de aandacht voor hedendaagse kunst: schilderijen, beelden en tekeningen.

Zoekend naar een vorm om de betekenis van een solotentoonstelling te ‘versterken’ is de galerie gestart met het uitgeven van kunstenaarsschriften. De schriften begeleiden de solotentoonstellingen. De serie gaat door, en past, gecatalogiseerd, nu in vier cassettes!

Het motto blijf nieuwsgierig is een belangrijke drijfveer.

Galerie AdK, 25 years art of now

In March 1998 Galerie AdK started. Two years later in April 2000 we moved to the Prinsengracht, in the center of town within walking distance of the museum quarter.

The gallery finds its basis in the collaboration with the artists, and can therefore follow and show the developments in the work of the artists. That quality and concentration is the starting point. Not only is this form of collaboration with the artists unique, but also with visitors and customers. Recognition in the attention for contemporary art: paintings, sculptures and drawings.

In search of a way to ‘strengthen’ the meaning of a solo exhibition, the gallery has started to publish artist’s writings. The notebooks accompany the solo exhibitions. The series continues and, cataloged, now fits in four cassettes!

The motto stay curious is an important motivation.
